The show is also scheduled to air on Super Channel HD 2. Like the first Fullmetal Alchemist television series in 2003-2004, the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime adapts Hiromu Arakawa’s dark fantasy manga about two brothers who risked their bodies with human alchemy to unsuccessfully resurrect their mother. Now the two attempt to restore their bodies by seeking the illusive Philosopher’s Stone, and they are not alone in their quest. The ASCII Media Works digital magazine Dengeki Comic Japan announced that it has established a Dengeki Comic Japan Digital Manga Rookie of the Year Award. The Grand Prize winner of the award will receive 12 million yen (about US$155,000). The award will have five categories: digital manga, digital four-panel manga, digital comic essays, digital manga original work, and digital content. A winner in each category will receive an award of 1 million yen (about US$13,000). The Grand Prize winner, chosen from the winner in each category, will receive an extra 11 million yen (about US$142,000).
